Gundersen Health System has a part-time position available as a Scheduling Specialist in the Neurosciences Department. This position will work 40 hours every two weeks. Hours for this role are typically between Monday - Friday 6:30am - 5:00pm. The ideal candidate would have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability manage a high volume of scheduling requests in an efficient manner. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills along with medical terminology is a plus.

Responsible for maintaining data integrity in the pre-registration of patients, verifying and updating demographics and assessing patient insurance coverage, to drive a timely billing process. As needed, the Scheduling Specialist takes the necessary steps to ensure that additional insurance verification is completed prior to the patient's visit.
