The Information Desk Receptionist uses exceptional customer service skills in greeting the public, answering incoming telephone calls, directing customers to desired locations, answering information inquiries, and providing other support to the department.

Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills in greeting, directing and assisting internal and external customersas they approach the desk.

  • Acts as a resource for customers in need of services.
  • Answers incoming phone calls, relays messages, transfers calls and answers questions and pages as necessary adhering to the overhead paging guidelines.

  • Responsible for a variety of clerical duties and demonstrates competency in computer skills related to the functions of the department which may include the use and access to Clinical Workstation (CWS), Meeting Room Manager, and Razors' Edge.
  • Solicits and responds to customer feedback using appropriate resources.
  • Takes responsibility for keeping area safe, attractive, neat and welcoming and brings concerns or issues forward.
  • Facilitates check-in and check-out of people which may include: customers, visitors, overnight visitors, patients, company representatives or visiting clergy.
  • Responsible for mail management that may include patients, internal and external customers.
  • Assists with data entry tracking of numbers, logging results and reports.
  • Performs other departmental tasks/projects as assigned and time permits.

    Education and Experience:
    Required High School Diploma or equivalency
