Working 12 hr shifts, PMS/Nights/Weekends, Non-benefited
The Affiliate Chaplain participates in the on-call rotation and is responsible for the delivery of spiritual and religious care to patients, families, and employees while carrying the emergency on-call pager. She/he will be available for routine and crisis calls to meet the needs of patients, families, and/or staff. She/he will serve as a liaison and colleague with community religious leaders and to coordinate efforts in ministering to the spiritual needs of patients.
Chaplain will remain in good standing as a leader within their spiritual/religious tradition.
Actively participate in delivery and arranging for appropriate spiritual and religious care to patients, families and staff. Assess patient and family spiritual needs and assists families and patients in using their faith in dealing with illness, trauma, death and stress.
Responds in a timely manner to requests for spiritual care on all units, coordinating care with the PM Chaplain.
Uses the pre-surgery list to visit patients scheduled for surgery the evening prior. Visits pre-surgery patients in the morning when the early morning Chaplain is absent.

|Education and Experience:|
|Required||High School Diploma or equivalency +
successful completion of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
|Desired||High School Diploma or equivalency +
one year Accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) residency, college degree and completion of at least one year of seminary.
Completion of Advanced Care Planning Faciliator Training.
|Required||1 year experience providing pastoral care.|
|Desired||1 year parish Ministry and Hospital Chaplaincy experience.|
