We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Vascular Medicine team within the Vascular Institute. As a clinician in this practice you would work in a collaborative environment primarily with our Vascular Medicine Physician, but also in the Vascular Institute with our three Vascular Surgeons and two Vascular Surgery Advanced Practice Clinicians. Patient care services are within the La Crosse clinic, but also in the regional clinics for outreach.
This clinician will manage patients with vascular diseases including peripheral artery disease, stroke/TIA, difficult to control vascular risk factors (hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolemia, etc.), unusual vascular diseases and preoperative evaluation and management of Vascular Surgery patients. In this population, there is a high incidence of tobacco abuse, and this position requires a high degree of passion and expertise in smoking cessation.
This position does not require call. We are seeking someone who has a minimum of two years of experience in Vascular Medicine, General Internal Medicine or an Internal Medicine subspecialty.
