The Department Supply Technician position is responsible for testing diverse healthcare tools and equipment. You will also be responsible for stocking, inventory duties and more. 

Schedule: 4:00am - 12:30pm, every Friday and other days throughout the week as needed

This position offers 18 hours every two weeks and is a non-benefitted position. 

The Department Supply Technician is responsible for ordering, tracking, maintaining and stocking of supplies, equipment and instrumentation for the department.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintains, troubleshoots and tests equipment to determine if equipment is functioning properly and facilitates equipment repairs as needed.
  • Utilizes independent judgment to initiate changes of contents and supply levels of designatedspecialty carts, custom kits, and patient room supplies, forms, equipment, and instruments.
  • Works with Purchasing and Logistics (stockroom and distribution centers)to establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Assists nursing staff in locating supplies and equipment.
  • Demonstrates initiative by contributing, developing, supporting, and carrying out new ideas and methods to improve the every day functioning of the inventory process.
  • Works with the supervisor and/or manager to identify department needs and maintain budget.

  • Performs other job-related responsibilities as requested.
