Responds to emergent and non-emergent requests for emergency medical assistance under the guidelines of local medical direction. Responsible for completing daily activities to include the following:
Knowledge and understanding of, and compliance with, all Tri-State Ambulance policies and procedures.
Demonstrate the attitude of a Health Care Professional to include, but not be limited to: maintaining a clean appearance; demonstrating courteous, professional and ethical behavior; and demonstrating the ability to work cooperatively with other members of the EMS Health Care System, and knowledge of an Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (EMT - P) per the standards set forth by the United States Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Wisconsin EMS Bureau, the National Registry of EMTs and the EMS Medical Director.
Knowledge and understanding of, and compliance with, all protocols for medical care per Tri-State Ambulance policies and local Medical Control. Inspect, safely operate, and maintain an emergency vehicle, including possession of a current and valid driver's license, and demonstrate knowledge and compliance with all State laws pertaining to the safe operation of an emergency vehicle.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree.
Completion of a qualified EMT – Paramedic program and certification by the states of Wisconsin and Minnesota as an EMT - P.
WI, MN, or IA Driver’s License, CEVO or equivalent, valid WI, MN and National Registry EMT - P certification, CPR, ACLS, and PHTLS
Full-time hours, 12 and 24 hour shifts, various hours
