Two positions are available for OB/GYN! Opportunities in La Crosse and Onlaska at a .6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks).
La Crosse: Between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm
Onalaska: Between the hours of 7:30am - 4:40pm
The Onalaska MA position will also have shifts within the Fertility Center.
This position requires certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or the National Healthcareer Association as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or National Center for Competency Testing as a National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
The Medical Assistant , while working within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice and under the direction and supervision of the provider/clinician or Registered Nurse, functions as an advocate to the patient. They assist in meeting the individual and age- specific needs of the patients and families/significant others. This responsibility includes the provisions of compassionate, safe and competent direct patient care as delegated by the provider or Registered Nurse. They receive daily direction and provide daily organizational support for the provider and team. They use effective and authentic communication skills while interacting with patients, families/significant others and all members of the healthcare team.
All Medical Assistants work under the supervision of a provider, while having a direct reporting relationship to a Clinical Manager. The supervising provider will have an opportunity to give formal feedback on the Medical Assistant’s competencies and performance measures annually.
Demonstrates professional accountability by maintaining skill competency in the following:
Contributes to the success of the team through participation in staff meetings, quality improvement activities, team-building exercises, etc.
Promotes a healing environment for patients, families and co-workers.
